Under our ‘Voice’ strategy, we have committed to communicating how the National Trust movement can help address urgent societal needs.   Our approach is to collect case studies from INTO members on a particular theme, add an overarching message and then use for internal learning (i.e. for INTO members to be inspired by what others are doing) and external advocacy (demonstrating what is unique and special about the National Trust approach).

The first of these was our 2016 State of Global Heritage Report, which was a call to action towards increasing awareness of the social, spiritual and economic value of heritage sites across the globe.

2016 State of Global Heritage Report (Written by Catherine Leonard using case studies from INTO members, we show that apathy towards our world heritage poses a greater risk to it than climate change, war and conflict or natural disasters)
