Cayman Islands National Trust launches its 2014 Summer Challenge

The oath of the Heritage Heroes Youth Conservation Club is “I promise to do my best to protect Cayman’s environment and history for the people of Cayman today and for future generations.”

The ‘rules’ are:

• Take photos
• Share with your friends
• Get your family involved
• Enjoy your island
• Learn something new
• Become an ambassador
• Get involved
• Protect the environment

Among the challenges are:

• Recruit National Trust members
• Set up a home recycling system (plastics, glass, aluminium, paper)
• Create a compost pile at home
• Participate in at least one National Trust activity/event
• Bringing a friend to a Trust event
• Participate in a charity walk/swim
