The working holiday (18-30 year olds): At 1500 metres high in a grand mountain setting, Fort Victor-Emmanuel is one of five impressive Esseillon Forts.  This massive nineteenth-century fortress in Savoie is restored year after year by our local teams and international volunteers.  You will participate in various masonry and development activities during the working holiday.  Also on the programme: hiking in the Vanoise National Park, the ‘via ferrata’ route (climbing route equipped hardware) and tree climbing.

This holiday is more suitable for 18-30 year olds who enjoy outdoor pursuits, have a good level of fitness and a strong wish to integrate into an international team.

Meeting point: You can request to be met at Mondane train station on the first day of the holiday.

Accommodation: In recently refurbished dormitories that sleep a maximum of ten people, with showers and toilets.  Mattresses are provided but you will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow.  Participants will share shopping, cooking and cleaning duties.  The living room is equipped with internet access.

    Price: 185 €

These holidays are organised by Union REMPART, a union of 180 non-profit associations run mainly by volunteers.
