CELEBRATE ISLAND 2016 – Request of photos for photo-exhibition

Dear Colleagues:
We would like to announce to that the Conservatoire du littoral will organize this year the third edition of ” CELEBRATE ISLANDS “, initiated within the framework of our “Sustainable islands Initiative”.
Like the 2 previous years, the objective of this operation is to highlight the actions led on the islands between May 21st to 29th about “Mainstreaming biodiversity, sustaining people and their livelihoods” (in link with the CBD 2016’s theme for International Day for Biological Diversity).
We will send you soon a invitation to contribute to this event, if you wish to organize activities of awareness raising on these issues on your islands (through exhibitions, public conferences, scientific campaigns, field schools, …) at the same period.

Besides, this year, we would like to realize a photo exhibition, done with photos sent by our international partners, representing their islands from all other the world (photos representing either landscape, or biodiversity, cultural heritage, human traditional activities, management actions, or in link with sustainable development….). The Conservatoire will ensure the graphical design of this exhibition, which will put at the disposal of our partner for a local printing.
