  • Enough is enough! – Help Stop Poaching

    Posted on May 8, 2015

“Don’t think because you don’t live in Africa you can’t help us stop the poaching of our rhinos and elephants. Go on social media, read up about it, talk about it.” – Francois Pienaar, #WhoseSideAreYouOn

WEBMASTER’S NOTE:  United for Wildlife is an amazing partnership of many of the world’s top environmental organizations. They have recently been joined by South African rugby star Francois Pienaar in their efforts to protect wildlife. Today we received this request from United for Wildlife:

Please share our videos from Lewa

We went with United for Wildlife Ambassador Francois Pienaar to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya to see how their anti-poaching unit protects wildlife and fights illegal wildlife trade.

Pienaar is an iconic figure in South Africa’s sporting history, and believes protecting Africa’s wildlife is a responsibility for South Africans – and the whole world.

He’s using his voice and influence to compel people to join our side:

Share our video of Pienaar asking people across the world to talk about the crisis

Since December 2013 Lewa has not lost a rhino, due entirely to the vital work of specially trained security teams, eyes in the sky, tracker dogs and their handlers:

Discover how the incredible security teams protect wildlife at Lewa in this video.

    Enough is enough!

With help from people like you all around the world, we’re building a movement for a generation that will not stand by while our species destroys others.

We can make a difference, but we need people to hear our voice – add your voice to ours and say enough is enough!

Talk about this crisis with everyone you know, and use the #WhoseSideAreYouOn hashtag to join the movement online.
