The working holiday: Červený Dvůr is an estate that was once the summer residence of the Schwarzenberg family and is now a sanatorium. Participants will work on the restoration of the eighteenth century gardener’s cottage on the estate and help to recreate the formal gardens of the chateau. Tasks will involve simple building work and some clearance work around the landscape features in the grounds. No prior skill is required. During the week there will be the opportunity to visit some of the region’s houses and castles. Participants can either be met at Linz airport off the afternoon Ryanair flight from Stansted, or in Ceský Krumlov.
Accommodation: Full board and lodging in twin bedrooms in the stable wing of the chateau. Bedding and towels provided.
