    Posted on March 14, 2015

Slovakia_LO_NavrhNKP_2014-1The working holiday: Liptovský Ondrej is a charming village in the High Tatra Mountains in Northern Slovakia. The village was formerly owned by the Andreánsky family and part of their legacy was the construction of seven beautiful manor houses. These days only the remains of the buildings are left. Participants of our working holiday will be involved in saving the physical structure of the oldest manor (‘kuria’) situated in the heart of the village and dating back to the 1530’s. You’ll have the opportunity to learn conservation techniques working under expert guidance. There’ll also be time to explore the rich natural heritage in two outstanding National Parks: the Low and High Tatras. Pick up at Liptovský Mikuláš train station in the afternoon on the start date of the holiday.
This holiday is most suited to 18-35 year olds who have a good level of fitness.
Accommodation: In a nearby guest house. Bedding and towel provided.
